Open Junior Summer Programme 2019

Our Open Junior Summer Programme is an exciting mix of communicative English language classes, fun activities, project work and excursions.

Lessons are designed to improve and consolidate each learner’s English, with a focus on listening and communication skills, vocabulary and grammar development. By the end of the course, students should see a significant improvement in their level, confidence and fluency.

The course is available to groups of students from 11 to 17 years of age and individuals, 16 and 17 years, in either residential or host family accommodation.

2019 Summer Junior 8 week programme

Academic Programme:

  • 21 hours of English language lessons a week
  • Classes divided according to placement tests
  • Maximum 14 students per class
  • Choose to study for 1 week or up to 4 weeks
  • All course materials provided
  • Elementary to advanced level
  • Certificate provided on completion


Activities & Excursions:

  • 1 full day trip per week
  • 1 half day excursion per week
  • Full afternoon activity programme for all students
  • Full evening activity programme for residential students
  • 2 evening activities per week for homestay students

  • London, including The National History Museum and Knightsbridge
  • Brighton, including entrance to the Pavilion
  • Cambridge, including river punting
  • London, including River Thames boat tour
  • Oxford, including Christchurch College


Sample half-day trips:

  • Walmer Castle / Leeds Castle
  • Canterbury, including entrance to the Cathedral
  • Chatham Historic Dockyard
  • Bluewater shopping centre
  • Margate and Turner Art Gallery
  • White Cliffs walk & Dover Castle
  • Broadstairs & Ramsgate, including Dickens Tour
