Chaucer College Canterbury will be running Theatre and Drama-themed courses. This is the perfect course for young people who have an interest in theatre, drama and performance. In morning classes, students will use English to take part in drama workshops and theatre skills classes incorporating improvisation, scriptwriting, developing character and stagecraft. Afternoon and or evening activities may include a visit to the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury, to a theatre in the West End, London’s famous theatre district, a back stage theatre visit or a visit to Shakespeare’s Globe theatre. With the guidance of a drama professional, they will use the themes from that production to improvise and develop a performance. The culmination of the course will be a short production or revue devised, directed and performed by the course participants.
