Our IELTS Test Dates, IELTS Test Fee and Online Application

IELTS Test Fee: 2018 – £158.
Do not make payment until you have completed an online application and received your test reference number in the confirmation email.
To pay by Credit/Debit card or Bank transfer please make payment through our payment provider by clicking here. Please use your IELTS reference number (beginning 61402) as your Reference ID when making payment.
Payments can also be made by cheque or postal order made payable to Chaucer College. Payments by cash can be made in person at the college.

IELTS Test Centre Saturday 8.45 – 16.30 on test dates only. Please do not arrive at the test centre before 8.45. Please do not arrive after 9.30
You must bring your original Passport or National Identity Card on the day of the test, whichever you supplied details of in your application.
Please do not walk in the college vehicle entrance. Please use the pedestrian entrance. Follow the green footpath sign to the pedestrian entrance.
There is free parking on site. Please report to reception and give your vehicle registration number. Note that no-one may remain in the vehicle or on site while you are taking the test. Any accompanying persons must go off site. No persons or vehicles will be admitted to the site before 8.45 for reasons of test security. There are snack and drink vending machines on site.
If you have special requirements please contact the IELTS Administrator as far in advance as possible. Test takers under 18 must complete an IELTS Consent Form.
The IELTS Test-Day timetable is as follows:
- 9.00 – 9.45: Cloakroom, Identity Check, Registration, Photo, Finger Scan
- 9.45 – 13.15: Listening Test, Reading Test, Writing Test
- 13.45 – 16.30: 20-minute Speaking Tests. Individual times to be confirmed after the end of the Writing Test, once we know if any candidates are absent. To see a flow chart of the day click here.
- At this IELTS Test Centre, the Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking Tests all take place on the same day. The Listening, Reading, Writing tests are in the morning. The Speaking tests are on the same day in the afternoon.
- If you are taking the IELTS test as part of a visa application to stay or move to the UK, you cannot take the IELTS test at Chaucer College. Please see the links below:
Issue of Results Online and IELTS Certificates, Cancellations and Complaints.
IELTS Results are normally displayed online and posted by first class mail or air mail to the address(es) given on the IELTS Application Form by 10am 13 days after the test. To view your results online click here. You can view your results online both under Candidate Area and Results. If you wish to cancel you IELTS test please contact the IELTS Administrator as far in advance as possible. No refund will be made if a request is received after midnight on the Thursday before the test date. If you wish to collect your results in person you must give advance notice and bring your passport or national identity card. Results are NOT issued by telephone, by fax or by email.
If you wish to make a complaint regarding the conduct of the IELTS Test, you must request an IELTS Complaint Form for Candidates from the Test-Day Administrator. You should use this form to describe the nature of your complaint. If you are making a complaint about an incident on test day, this form must be submitted on the test day. No complaint can be processed after your results have been released by your test centre. Please note that results cannot be issued until the complaint has be investigated and resolved.

If you are not satisfied with your IELTS Result you may download an IELTS Enquiry on Results Form by clicking > IELTS Results Enquiry. You must make this request within six weeks of the test date. The fee is £60 irrespective of how many sections you wish to have remarked. The £60 is refunded if your IELTS Result is raised by the British Council Senior Examiner.
If you need additional copies of your IELTS Test Report Form to be sent to a College, University or Organisation you may download an Application for the Issue of Additional TFRs by clicking > Issue of Additional TRFs. You must make this request within two years of the test date. There is no charge for sending by mail or airmail, but the full delivery fee will be charged if you request delivery by a courier service.
