Catering Department

We are currently recruiting for the following positions in our Catering Departments at Chaucer & Kingsgate

Kingsgate, Broadstairs – Head Chef

The Head Chef is responsible for the overall daily management of the KitchenPlanning menus in conjunction with the Catering Manager. Ensuring all meals are portioned and served correctly, punctually and presented well, with attention to nutritional, dietary and healthy eating considerations. Ensuring that all administrative tasks associated with the role including completion of timesheets, rosters, stock control records, invoices, menu planning and any records required for legislative purposes are completed in an effective and timely manner.

Kingsgate, Broadstairs – Chef (2 shifts per week plus holiday cover)

Part time Chef required to cover a minimum of 2 shifts per week and provide cover for holidays/absence.  Duties include, responsible for preparation and service of meals in accordance with weekly menu cycles, checking and preparation of equipment, maintaining a food safe environment with high standards of health & safety and hygiene at all times, ensuring compliance with current legislation. The ability to work as part of a team, flexibility and reliability are essential.

Chaucer, Canterbury – Chef

Working an alternating shift system covering early and late shifts across 7 days per week – Early shift 6.30am to 2.15pm, late shift 11.30am to 7.15pm – Occasional working outside of these hours may be required to meet the needs of our students eg, late/early arrivals/departures. Duties include, responsible for preparation and service of meals in accordance with weekly menu cycles, checking and preparation of equipment, maintaining a food safe environment with high standards of health & safety and hygiene at all times, ensuring compliance with current legislation. The ability to work as part of a team, flexibility and reliability are essential.
