IT Manager

The IT Manager is responsible for the company’s entire IT Infrastructure and Office 365 deployment. You will provide first class support to faculty and students and ideally, you will be experienced in dealing with staff from all levels and students of different nationalities. You will lead on the strategic development of the IT systems, and in conjunction with the Operations Manager and Senior Management Team will create and maintain a long-term plan that is aligned with the needs of the business.

Essential Experience

  • Providing all levels of support, from first to third line (At times you’ll be the sole person dealing with IT support)
  • Patching, Proactive Maintenance and monitoring of infrastructure and cloud services.
  • Experience in a highly virtualised environment (Hyper-V)
  • Sound knowledge of Networking protocols (DHCP/DNS/IPv4-6) as well as the networking infrastructure that connects everything together( Switching L2 & 3/Fibre cabling/VLANs)
  • Wireless Network management (Ideally Meraki)
  • Firewall and Antivirus management
  • Active Directory management
  • File Server management (DFSR)
  • Desktop deployment technologies
  • Group policy
  • Print Server management
  • Office 365 configuration and management
  • Procurement of hardware and software
  • Licensing
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • MCP or related IT qualification in desktop or server support/configuration
  • Knowledge of site-to-site VPNs and SSLVPN technologies
  • Working knowledge of Raduis (NPS) authentication servers and maintaining a PKI.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Information Technology
