Important Information

What are the rules and regulations for University of Kent students at Chaucer College?
The rules and regulations for University of Kent (UoK) students resident at Chaucer College are based upon the UoK rules for on-campus college accommodation with some amendments owing to the need to conform to Japanese, rather than Western, norms. You will be sent a copy of the Chaucer College Accommodation Handbook and the Terms & Conditions with the licence agreement. Please take time to review the rules and regulations before accepting accommodation at Chaucer College.

As the accommodation offered is strictly single-sex, one ‘golden rule’ is that under NO circumstances should a male resident or male visitor enter a female student’s dormitory, or vice versa. Failure to observe this regulation will result in the cancellation of your accommodation agreement and you will be required to leave the College.

Is it possible to view the College?
To make an appointment to view the rooms please e-mail accommodation@chaucercollege.co.uk with the time that is most convenient for you to come. We will then confirm the appointment with you. Please note that you will not be able to access the College without an appointment.
